We had to put my kitty to sleep. She was having renal failure. We got her in 1990 as a young adult cat and we don't know her true age. I still creep through the house at night, careful not to step on her. My daughter went into the bathroom where we used to have her kitty litter set up and said, "The cat's dead."
It's been a bummer of a week!

Oh, Tia! I am so sorry. It's especially hard when you've had them for so long.
ReplyDeleteWe lost our baby several weeks ago. I still look for her.

I'm sorry! It's hard when they die. We are going to be pet-less for a while (except for fish), I think.
ReplyDeletePoor thing. Sounds like she had a long, happy life.
ReplyDelete;)
Aw, I'm so sorry! It's heartbreaking to lose a pet.
ReplyDeleteHugs, I'm so sorry!
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh--one of the hardest moments in life, I'm sooo sorry.
ReplyDelete{{{{{{hugs}}}} to your family. :-(
I'm sorry to hear this. As you recal I lost my Precious November of last year.
ReplyDeleteI know how painful it is.
Could you post a picture of your kitty as a memorial? That is, if it doesn't hurt too much.
When my Precious died I made a photo collage with him, Bessie and Leibchen (he died 2 years ago)
What was her name?
Yes, I thought I remembered the post about your cat dying. I'll put up a picture.
ReplyDeleteHer name was Sabrina. We called her Breenie. She always came when I called and never clawed any of the furnishings. She was a smart cat, and sweet and friendly too.
I was just thinking that for the vast majority of the time my husband and I have been married, we've had Breenie.
A dream kitty - one that actually came when called!
ReplyDeleteIt will take a while before you stop looking for her.
I'm so sorry, sweetie! One of our greyhounds died suddenly last summer. Let yourself grieve; pets are family.
ReplyDeleteBig hug,
Lisa
Gosh, I'm so sorry Tia. Losing a pet is so dreadful--and kitties are precious.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs--Laura
So sorry to hear about your loss, Tia. I'm sure she felt very lucky to have such a wonderful home, and led a very happy life. I hope the ache you're feeling eases.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all of you!
